BEF aims to advance and disseminate world-class scientific research on venture financing

The Bureau of Entrepreneurial Finance (BEF) gathers a team of scholars from Politecnico di Milano and Politecnico di Torino with the aim to advance and disseminate world-class scientific research on venture financing. BEF conducts cutting-edge, interdisciplinary, rigorous and critical research on all aspects of entrepreneurial finance. BEF aims to have high impact not only on academic thought, but also on policy decision-making and business practice.

BEF Main Purposes

BEF undertakes research projects sponsored by central banks, bank foundations, Italian and European government agencies, and private companies.

Research

BEF promotes rigorous research that examines novel questions regarding how entrepreneurial ventures acquire financial resources, the interplay between established and innovative sources of finance, and its impact on economic performance

Education

BEF provides education and outreach in areas related to its research agenda (e.g., conferences, seminars, education and training programs).

Bridge

BEF provides a bridge connecting faculty, entrepreneurs, and providers of finance to expedite the processes of knowledge creation, diffusion and policy advisory activities on entrepreneurial finance topics. In that regard, BEF pursues the generation and consolidation of an international network of collaborations with academic institutions, financial stakeholders, incubators and public institutions.
