Giulio Pasi is Policy Officer at the European Commission, where he deals with social investment policies, by means of the design, negotiation and implementation of financial instruments. He previously served as Scientific Officer at the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission, where he dealt with social innovation, new financial engineering tools and the relationship between public policies and new markets and industries, as well as the social and institutional consequences of the digital transformation. Over his career, he has matured a vast experience in the evaluation of policies, in impact valuation techniques, strategic planning and future studies. He graduated in Law (summa cum laude) at Pavia University, he has a PhD in Economic and Social Sciences (joint program between Istituto Universitario di Studi Superiori di Pavia and Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna di Pisa). His main interests concern the interplay between finance, technology and society. He has published in several peer-reviewed journals, he is regularly invited as a speaker at several events in Europe, he is member of numerous committees, taskforces and advisory boards (e.g. Oxford, OECD, European Commission).
