Daniele Battaglia is Assistant Professor at the Department of Management and Production Engineering at Politecnico di Torino, where he teaches Business Economics. He holds a PhD in Management from the same university, and he has been visiting researcher at IESE Business School in 2017.
His research interests lie at the intersection between SMEs strategy, entrepreneurship, finance, and university-industry technology transfer. Through his research activities, he has investigated various topics as the role of financial instruments and policies to promote the commercialization of university research (i.e Proof-of-Concepts), the role of universities in promoting innovation and internationalization activities in SMEs, and the different entrepreneurial decision-making processes. His research has been published in several academic journals, such as Research Policy, Technovation, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, International Journal of Production Economics, and Journal of Small Business Management.
